For HACKATHON ARCTIC CHALLENGE | Open event | Sweden - 2016
CLIENT
ARctic Challenge is a one-of-a-kind Hackathon focusing on Augmented Reality. The initiative was jointly conceived by Skellefteå Digital Alliance and the SenseSmartRegion project. It is supported / sponsored by Skellefteå Science City,Techfugees,
DF Skellefteå and the Smart Tillväxt project.
CHALLENGE
Create an app prototype using augmented reality in 24 hours to facilitate integration of refugees or immigrants in the Swedish society.
APPROACH
In collaboration with 2 developers, we created the app concept and divided tasks to be the most efficient in that time frame. I prepared the user flow, wireframes and interface design, while they worked on developing a working prototype.
SOLUTION
We developed an app's prototype using Augmented Reality to learn the Swedish language by object recognition, introducing a more natural and playful way to start learning a foreign language.
