Enhancing the employee experience at Company Days to make it
more inclusive
For Valtech UK | Private sector | UK | 2019-2020
CLIENT
Valtech UK is a digital agency focused on business transformation with a strong tech capability and co-innovation strategy. Part of a global agency distributed in 15 countries, it hires around 200 employees in the UK distributed in 3 offices: London, Manchester and Bristol.
CHALLENGE
Preparing and running 2 Company Days in the London office to enhance the experience of all employees. The goal was to make it more inclusive and engaging for both consultants and back office staff across the 3 UK offices. This includes helping to better integrate Bristol employees coming from a recent acquisition.
APPROACH
In collaboration with one colleague, we researched what was working and not in the agenda of previous Company Days to find out what we should keep and what could be improved. We integrated new kinds of activities into the agenda that aimed to respond to the challenge. After running the event, we collected feedback through a survey to measure employee satisfaction.
SOLUTION
Based on the learnings from previous Company days, we created a new agenda and introduced new types of activities like team building and external speakers while evolving some famous sessions to make them more accessible and engaging. As a result, employees were largely satisfied of the day at 78% and 85% were likely to recommend Company Day to a colleague.
